Oh Yeah! Christmas in Dublin. There's spew, poo & blood on the footpath in front of my 1 bedroom basement flat. Hope it's not from the same person, that woulda been a rough night.
Me mate Andrew & I were dared to re-enact the 12 Days of Christmas song in a public place with all the people & animals neccesary. So we hit the Dublin costume company shop & rang around. Told everyone to meet at the top of Grafton St at 2pm and hoped for the best.
Saturday, 13th Decem
ber, 2pm came around and a good few showed up. The Dublin All Stars Marching band plus Podge and friends from band Ham Sandwich made up the 12 drummers drumming, a couple of lords for leaping and maids for milking, the three girls on their 'hens night' with French barets, girls from the Sallynoggin Dance Troop for the ladies dancing and with the power of a megaphone randomers on the street kindly joined in and made up the rest. We hit play, Bing Crosby sang the 12 Days of Christmas song. Everyone sang along and did the appropriate dancing, laying or leaping actions. 100+ grouped around and looked on with a mixed look of confusion and glee. It was great fun and there's a quick montage of the attempt on this link to enjoy.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gQS40ozt5ZkHope ya like it. Happy New Year!!!damo :D
